About Us

Welcome to Dinnington Floral Art Society – we trust you will enjoy your  visits to our society.  The aim of the Club is to encourage and stimulate the art of floral decoration by demonstrations, workshops and the interchange of ideas.

We are affiliated to NAFAS,  which is the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies and belong to the North East Area.  At the moment we have over 50 members and membership is open to anyone who supports the objectives of the Club irrespective of disability, race, gender, sexual orientation, age or nationality.  The Club is run on a non-profit making basis.

The society was formed in 1971.  We have used various venues over the years and since 2002 meet in the Resource Centre.

Our annual programme is made up of demonstrations given by leading National and Area Demonstrators and workshops. These are  ‘fun’ evenings when we have ‘hands on’ experience of flower arranging.   Workshops cover all abilities, from absolute beginners to  the more experienced flower arranger.   Details of what is required to enable participation is given at the meeting the previous month and is also put on the website.

During the year we arrange trips to various events which are relevant to flowers or gardening.

As a society we have over the years been involved in fund raising at various events such as flower festivals in local churches.

The committee are constantly trying to keep the society moving forward and welcome any input that can help them to achieve this aim.

You are always assured of a warm welcome at our meetings and we look forward to seeing you at our future events.  If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact any Committee member who will be only too happy to help.
